I’m starting a new series called The Little Things.
I plan to share important moments, objects, sayings etc. that have meaning to me or just make me smile. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to participate in the comments section below!
It’s 10:22 p.m. in the Roberts household and for me that’s like 3 in the morning and regardless of my mental and physical exhaustion I am forcing myself to stay up and just be. These brief moments of alone time feel so good and complete (if you feel what I’m sayin’), especially when life seems to be running at 100 mph. – which mine currently is. I have the best job a girl could ever ask for being a mom and a wife, and I have come to realize that time to myself is so necessary and so precious. I don’t get “me-time” often since there are always little hands reaching underneath doors, little booties to be wiped, studying to be done, meals to be made, and a house to be cleaned – the list goes on. So, like I preach to others, I am trying to fit some time in for me. Time to relax, to catch up, to be with friends, to reconnect with my husband, and do all of those things I never really have the time to do.
I am currently potty training my 2 ½ year old, Mykel. I would have never thought that potty training could be so hilarious. This little girl of mine is the funniest thing, next to my 4 year old son Rivers, that I have ever laid my eyes and ears upon. Just hearing her say “Mommy I have to poop” makes me laugh for days. She has been in undies for the past two weeks now. Major milestone happening here folks! Oh, and don’t you lay one hand on her “Little Mermaid Under the Sea” undies or she’ll release her wrath on you.
Going on dates with my son Rivers is one of the moments in life I treasure most. He is the sweetest and most kind-hearted little boy you will ever meet. Must have inherited that from his father. Hangin’ out with him is one of my favorite things to do. I get sick just thinking about him starting Kindergarten next year.
Well, I guess that’s it for now. Don’t forget to enjoy the Little Things in Life! I’d love to hear what little things make your day. Feel free to comment below.
