Time-Outs aren’t Just for Kids

Recently my husband surprised me with a mini vacation. Lately, our life has been quite busy, and to be brutally honest, it’s been hit by a major tornado. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer, my mother is living with us, I’m raising two kids (4 and 2 – Both are red heads, and for those of you that have some of your own know why I bother mentioning this), going to grad school full time, and have had to deal with some major personal issues. I thank God for my therapist!

The hustle and bustle of everyday life gets in the way of letting me be who I truly am, not to mention being the best wife and mother I am capable of being. When I slow down enough to realize this has happened, yet again, I know a break is in dire need.

Insert husband sent from God.

My surprise mini vacay was reserved at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Disney has been our jam for 13 years and there’s no other place I’d rather take a Time-Out (glad I didn’t know about the measles scare prior to this – just sayin’). Here are some pics from our “trip”, and don’t forget to take a “Time-Out” with your lover!

Once we checked in, at 830a.m., we headed straight to Disney’s California Adventure park to retrieve our Fastpasses for Radiator Springs Racers, we’re professionals here people…
